If you’re like me you spend ten plus hours a day in front of your computer. Even on weekends I can log some hours in front of it.  After a few weeks of this, I need to get not only away from the computer, out of the office, and sometimes out of the city.

National Park Service
Use the state search and find a great park in your area. My favorites are Catoctin, Shenandoah and any part along the Appalachian Trail.

State Parks
You can Google for your specific state park system, but here in Maryland and Virginia we have some great parks.  My favorites include Cunningham Falls, Deep Creek Lake, Elk Neck, Green Ridge, Gunpowder, Patapsco Valley, and Rocky Gap.

Forest Service
My favorite park besides Shenandoah’s Skyline Drive is George Washington National Forest near Strasburg, VA.
